Position Overview
As a Crane Technical Engineer and Assemply Director, you will support Regional Construction operations.
District Overview
Kiewit Equipment Services (KES) helps to ensure the profitability of Kiewit projects through the improved equipment utilization and mechanical reliability by delivering world-class equipment and service.
Location
This position will be based out of Lenexa, KS but will require frequent travel and relocation.
Responsibilities
• Lead and direct crane assembly/dis-assembly operations in support of our project schedules along with our Regional Equipment Team.
• Extensive knowledge of crane manuals, rigging, signaling, directing crane lifts.
• Work with and on various aspects of Kiewit’s modern crane fleet supporting construction operations.
• Provide technical assistance in all respects of our crane operations with regard to support of Kiewit modern cranes throughout our operations.
• Assist with and help schedule and coordinate all aspects of maintenance activities, from major to minor repairs including the aesthetic appearance of our fleet.
• Assist in the proper coding, cost control and tracking of all aspects of equipment repairs.
• Support of training operations with regard to crane operations, technical diagnostic and repair of the various manufacturers we operate.
• Position requires extensive travel on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience in assembly of cranes.
- Broad knowledge of cranes involved in heavy construction.
- Excellent technical skills accompanied by efficiency and time management required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills.
- Prior experience is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively to construction sites and satellite offices throughout our operations, as required.
