District Overview
HR Operations for Kiewit is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.
Location
This position is based out of Laval or Oakville.
Responsibilities
- Complete the entire recruiting cycle while making effective use of Kiewit's processes, systems and tools;
- Define recruitment needs and work on planning with the Human Resources Manager;
- Establish internal partnerships in order to understand the company's culture and have an excellent knowledge of our projects;
- Work with managers and our Human Resources team to attract the best candidates for our projects and teams;
- Create and maintain a pool of qualified and diverse candidates;
- Evaluate the skills and abilities of candidates through job interviews;
- Proactively work with managers and the HR team to anticipate recruitment for our future projects;
- Actively contribute to Quebec and Canadian associations in order to broaden and diversify Kiewit's pool of candidates;
- Know and master the trends of the construction and engineering market;
- Maintain effective and professional relationships with candidates and managers throughout the recruitment process and contribute significantly to the candidate and client experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in administration, human resources, communications or a related field preferred;
- Minimum of four (4) years experience in (full life cycle) recruitment, including a minimum of two (2) years in the construction or engineering sector;
- Strong interpersonal skills: Communicate and influence stakeholders (internal and external) and establish trust and credibility with Kiewit's management team;
- Fluently bilingual in French and English (recruitment process will be conducted in English).
- Results-oriented, highly motivated, very energetic, with a proven track record of success;
- Able to travel professionally up to 30%;
- Business acumen and ability to negotiate job offers;
- Very well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks;
- Ability to manage a large volume of recruitment;
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of employee information;
- Mastery of Microsoft and other applications, including social media;
- Ability to fully understand the company's strategy and link it to a talent management strategy.
