Position Overview

As a Dimensional Control Technician, you will play an integral role in establishing and maintaining methods for safe, accurate and efficient Survey/Dimensional Control operations. You will have responsibilities over field survey operations, and should plan to spend the majority of your time in the field performing Diminsional Control operations.

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employees who work in the yard year-round. Location

This position will be initially based out of Kiewit Offshore Services Ingleside, TX location.

Responsibilities

  • Field computations
  • Maintain accurate, detailed and legible field notes.
  • Utilization of Leica Total Station
  • Team management

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, Construction Survey, or a related field is required
  • Leica Total Station experience is a plus
  • Strong computer skills (excel/word)
  • Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to perform calculations (area, volume, circumference, proportion, percentage)
  • Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
  • Committed to working safe and getting the job done right the first time
