Position Overview

As a Shipping Clerk, you will perform administrative/expediting support to Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS). You will expedite material, work with Buyers and assit with maintaining Purchase Orders.

District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employees who work in the yard year-round. Location

This position will be based out of Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) Ingleside, TX location.

Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day support with general administrative functions and team management needs
  • Expedite materials
  • Communicate material status to buyers and projects
  • Assist with maintenance of Purchase Orders
  • Collaborating with and supporting team members, working on key projects and initiatives
Qualifications
  • Prior administrative support experience required
  • A bachelor's or associate’s degree related to the role strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Solid skills with peripheral technology such as printers, digital cameras, scanners and A/V equipment
  • Previous track record of successfully meeting deadlines and project expectations
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, as needed
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidence of important, sensitive information and materials
  • Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
