Position Overview

As a Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in the support of Kiewit Offshore Services quality strategy. You will work out of a highly technical Coatings Shop (Indoor and Outdoor facility) on some of the largest, most complex OGC projects in the world.

District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Location

This position will be based out of Kiewit's Ingleside, TX facility/yard.

Responsibilities
  • The Project Quality Manager (PQM) is responsible for overall development and management of the Project Quality Plan. 
  • Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the Project Quality Plan. The PQM has the authority to revise it as deemed necessary with the concurrence of the Project Sponsor /  Manager and Client (when required). 
  • Directing the activities of Quality Inspectors. 
  • Ensuring that inspections and tests are performed to verify that the work, materials and plant equipment are in compliance with plans and specifications. 
  • Reviewing documentation of inspections and tests and coordinating distribution and filing of documentation.
  • Ensuring that suppliers/subcontractors develop and implement quality plans and procedures as deemed necessary based on the product or service being provided. 
  • Verifying that deficiencies are corrected and corrective action plans are implemented as required. 
  • Maintaining liaison with the client's quality representative(s) and ensuring quality expectations are being met. 
  • Interfacing with Regulatory Authority / Certifying Agency as required by contract ensuring that requirements are met.
Qualifications
  • Current NACE CIP Level III certification required
  • Five plus years’ experience developing and implementing construction quality management programs
  • Bachelors or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, welding, civil engineering, industrial or related discipline (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Certifications from ASQ, AWS, CWB, API, ACI, ICBO, ASNT,  etc. are advantageous
  • Exceptional math, computer, verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective organizational, analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
