Position Overview

As a Quality Manager, you will provide support to Quality Assurance and Traceability. Working along side our Quality Assurance Manager.

This position will be based out of Kiewit Offshore Services Ingleside, TX location.

  • Responsible for overall development and management of the Quality Management System under the direction of the District Quality Manager
  • Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality Management System within the facility shops. 
  • Directing the activities of Quality Assurance Inspectors. Ensuring that inspections and tests are performed to verify that the work, materials and plant equipment are in compliance with plans and specifications. 
  • Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality Audit Program for the facility. Responsibilities include lead auditor function.
  • Provide overall supervision NDE coordination group to ensure structural and pipe NDE examinations are conducted timely, effectively and documented properly.
  • Provide overall supervision and direction to Traceability group to ensure traceability activities for all projects are performed in accordance with governing code or project specification. Ensuring weld traceability, material traceability and turnover deliverables are executed timely and effectively to support projects within the facility.
  • Maintaining liaison with the client's quality representative(s) and ensuring quality expectations are being met. Interfacing with Regulatory Authority / Certifying Agency as required by contract ensuring that requirements are met. 
  • Interfacing with Kiewit Operations and Support Departments as well as Client Representatives.
  • Reviewing documentation of inspections and tests and coordinating distribution and filing of documentation. Ensuring that suppliers/subcontractors develop and implement quality plans and procedures as deemed necessary based on the product or service being provided. Verifying that deficiencies are corrected and corrective action plans are implemented as required.
  • Degree in engineering plus ten or more years’ experience in a related construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of construction industry codes as applicable (ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.) as well as applicable certifications. 
  • Background in structural and process pipe welding
  • Certified Welding Inspector preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Experinced Auditor, ASQ CQA Certification preferred
  • Experince directing Quality Assurance inspector activities.
