Position Overview

The NDE manager would be responsible for the field deployment of a fixed facility NDE program consisting of RT, PT and MT on structures primarily destined for the offshore oil and gas industry.  Daily functions would be the scheduling of work among NDE crews, reviewing the work performed by the technicians and providing technical guidance for them, reporting of test results to management and creating budgets.  The ideal candidate would have had hands on experience with the NDE methods they are supervising but also would have had a supervisory role managing multiple NDE technicians. Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer and with writing internal standards and practices preferred as well.

The position will be at a fixed facility with some travel required.  In the future there could be the need for more travel and/or the ability to relocate nation-wide as other project needs arise.


This position is based out of Ingleside, TX.


The NDE Manager is responsible for managing and educating NDE personnel to ensure company standards and procedures are followed and the projects are fully supported with their NDE needs.

  • Engineering, science or other technical degree plus at leat 5 years of related experience preferred
  • High school or GED accepted with at least 10 years of related construction experience.
  • Familiarity with welding and welding related operations
  • ASNT Level II minimum with level III preferred in RT
  • ASNT Level II preferred in MT and PT
  • High degree of familiarity with related codes of constructions (AWS, ASME, API etc).
  • CWI
  • Comfort moving in and around steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
  • Move in and around confided and cluttered spaced and uneven areas
