Position Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services is currently seeking a full-time Medical Manager/Nurse Practitioner for our on-site health clinic.  This clinic serves the employees, contractors, and clients on site.

District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services is currently seeking a full-Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employees who work in the yard year-round. The projects built by Kiewit Offshore Services require significant equipment planning, detailed cost estimates and schedules, a commitment to safety by all employees, and are truly unforgettable. Location

This position is located at Kiewit's Offshore Services District in Ingleside, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exams and develop treatment plans, within your professional scope, to evaluate/perform pre-employment physicals and assess, treat, manage onsite work related injuries within OSHA guidelines, with occasional acute illnesses, and chronic conditions. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate OSHA audiometric surveillance program, wellness program, and Drug and ETOH screenings and random programs.  
  • Act as the onsite MRO for drug screenings.  
  • Must be proficient in foreign body removal from eyes, wound care, and musculoskeletal injury management. 
  • Manage a team of EMT’s for emergency response on the facility.  
  • Perform task of medical liaison to the high angle rescue team.  
  • Collaborate with the supervising physician.  
  • After Hours Call required 4 nights per week (60-80 after hour call outs/year).

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • National Board Certification.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • At least 10 years of direct patient care work experience in Occupational Health, and/or Emergency Medicine.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of OSHA injury record-ability standards.
  • Experience with corporate medicine/ OSHA related case management a plus.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, take regular after hours call or irregular hours when needed.
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must live in or near the local area OR be willing to relocate.
