Primary Responsibilities and duties

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical power distribution systems up to 12,470 volts welding machines, subarc welding stations, power turning rolls, pipe manipulators, computerized plate cutting machines, AC and IC variable speed motor drives, AC motors and motor starters, computerized brace cutting machines, refrigeration equipment, small electrical tools, facility and yard lighting and various electrical yard and steel fabrication equipment.
  • Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools.
  • Operate volt and amp meter and Megger.
  • will need to supply their own hand held and power tools,


  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • 3 – 5 years painter/blaster related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Must be able to read and interpret operational and electrical service manuals on company equipment, and electrical diagrams and schematics on equipment. 
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose failures of equipment using accepted troubleshooting techniques.
  • expected to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
