Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Craft Recruiter to join our Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) team. You will be a face to our business in supporting KOS’s craft recruiting initiatives to develop a network of the best talent with in-demand skills and experiences. Must be able to successfully recruit and screen talent, and fill a variety of craft roles (Welders, Electricians, Crane Operators, Pipe Welders etc.) against aggressive timelines.

District Overview

Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550-acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employees who work in the yard year-round. The projects built by Kiewit Offshore Services require significant equipment planning, detailed cost estimates and schedules, a commitment to safety by all employees, and are truly unforgettable. Location

This position is based out of our Ingleside, TX construction yard/office.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, screen, and interview candidates, and present the best talent to our hiring managers for consideration in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Manage a recruiting requisition load of 15-20+ job openings at a time
  • Utilize SuccessFactors applicant tracking system, LinkedIn, social media, job boards such as Dice and Careerbuilder, Boolean searches, and professional / networking groups in order to attack new talent in creative ways.
  • Network to recruit active and passive candidates for current positions and build talent pipelines for future career opportunities.
  • Extend job offers, and see candidates through the Onboarding process
  • Continuous improvement and knowledge of current effective staffing and recruiting trends, understand how they align with the company’s business priorities, and develop a business case to push new ideas forward
  • Identify workflow process improvements, structure and systems to realign them with operational goals in all craft process
  • Participate actively in transfer process that will allow company to keep core craft actively working, engaged, and loyal
  • Experience working with craft professionals (Welders, Electricians, Crane Operators, Pipe Welders etc.) in the construction industry preferred.
Qualifications
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • 3+ years of experience recruiting craft professionals (Welders, Electricians, Crane Operators, Pipe Welders etc.)  in the construction industry.
  • Ability to source/recruit, screen, interview, and hire top talent into our business
  • Ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team.
  • Human Resources knowledge such as EEOC, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interview best practices a plus.
  • Emotional Intelligence – Ability to manage emotions in positive ways to communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflicts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated energy, enthusiasm and initiative
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Relocatable to the Ingleside, TX (Corpus Christi) area
