Position Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our University Talent Acquisition team. Someone with 1-3 years of professional experience, with great problem-solving skills, and self-motivation who has the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, Shared Service / Center of Excellence office environment.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting University Relations and the end-to-end recruiting process by building and maintaining candidate pipelines, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating recruitment events and logistics to support high-volume and strategic hiring needs. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt. A successful individual for this position will be organized, proactive, self-directed, team player who's passionate and eager to learn in an agile and innovative work setting.

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.

This position is based out of Houston, TX or Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment & University Relations

Review resumes and applications to assess qualifications against job requirements.
- Assist in logistics of successful special programs to show impact and effectiveness.

Conduct initial phone screens and schedule interviews with hiring managers.

Maintain candidate records and ensure accurate data entry in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Support University Relations Lead in tasks related to campus engagement.

Prepare and post jobs on internal and external job boards.

Draft offer letters and other recruitment-related correspondence.

Maintain recruitment documentation and compile reports as needed.

Assist in the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and documentation.

- Event Coordination & Logistics

Coordinate logistics for job fairs, campus recruiting, conferences, and other talent acquisition events.

Manage event materials, scheduling, and team attendance.

Support employer branding efforts through event setup and engagement.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field preferred.

1–3 years of experience in recruitment or HR support.
- Ability to travel as needed.

Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Shows the ability to learn and navigate multiple systems; Paradox, Handshake, PowerBI, SuccessFactors, Sharepoint/OneDrive.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.

Event coordination or administrative support experience is a plus.

Base Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
