Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team to help define, document, and deploy solutions to support our business needs throughout the organization. This is a technical role that coordinates with executives, department resources, and technology personnel to streamline business processes and increase productivity activities across Kiewit’s business functions. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Business Analyst that is comfortable with collaboration and optimizing business solutions and products.

The Business Analyst will be a member of the Project Information and Data Management team and work alongside Information and Business managers, Architecture teams, Subject Matter Experts, and various core Discipline, Technology, and Development teams. This candidate will collaborate extensively in support of evaluating, defining, and building solutions and frameworks to help our business goals..

Location

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 585 N Dairy Ashford Rd, Houston, TX 77079 .

Responsibilities

  • Participating in meetings and workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts to document and support definition of specific business opportunities with processes / products.
  • Assistance with project management for selected projects.
  • Coordinate with different departmental teams in the business and technology space to produce better outcomes.
  • Developing processes and procedures to ensure business solutions meet strategic goals.
  • Cataloging, documenting, and testing processes, business / functional requirements, design specifications, and recommended improvements.

Qualifications

  • Educational Level : BS or equivalent experience – Engineering Technology or Technical Related Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 + years of experience with business analyst activities and responsibilities
  • Strong experience is required including collaboration with many different teams and documenting typical project information and data.
  • Proficient in writing functional and business requirements.
  • Experience in troubleshooting root causes of issues and working with various teams in resolving gaps / solving complex problems.
  • Should have knowledge, skills, and experience in secondary tools such as SQL (understanding and writing queries), common ERP system(s), and
  • Excellent written and strong oral communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills preferred.
  • Superior presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments.
