Position Overview

As an Administrative Assistant you will be working in an office doing general admin duties.

District Overview

Kiewit’s Northwest District is headquartered in Vancouver, Washington.  We primarily perform heavy civil projects specializing in earth moving, transportation, roadways, water resources, and underground utilities. We are looking for hard working individuals with a passion for construction who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty!


This position is based out of Honolulu, Hawaii


  • Maintain project-specific logs and reports.
  • Complete and maintain base access permits and documentation
  • Manage sensitive documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between a variety of different KBS teams and field personnel to effectively and efficiently support the I-9 systems.
  • Develop, define, and analyze solutions to documentation requirements.
  • Plan, control, and direct the activities of assigned Document Coordinators
  • Facilitate project deliverables, documents for operation, and final project turnover acceptance.
  • Work with the suppliers and Responsible Engineers to understand deliverables coming/past due.
  • Compile and maintain various logs, reports and templates
  • Perform audits of documentation to ensure project files are current and accurate
  • Maintain records of incoming document transmittals and prepare outgoing transmittals and packages
  • Provide support to Project teams, including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, logs, meeting minutes, compilations of reports
  • Personally meet deadlines and contribute in a positive, safe, professional and high-quality project
  • Office duties assigned


  • High School Diploma with at least 2-years of administrative experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Have a valid Driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain access to various military bases
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Demonstrated commitment to business ethics and integrity.
  • Team player with the ability to lead others or work independently, as required, to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.

•    Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
•    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
