Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Concrete Superintendent with a strong background in anchor bolt installation and heavy civil construction, particularly in large-scale power generation or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all concrete-related activities including formwork, rebar, placement, finishing, and curing.
- Oversee anchor bolt layout and installation, ensuring precision and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure timely and accurate execution of work.
- Develop and maintain short-interval schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Monitor productivity, cost control, and material usage to ensure project goals are met.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Mentor and develop craft personnel and junior superintendents.
- Participate in pre-construction planning and constructability reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of concrete construction experience, with 3+ years in a Superintendent or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in anchor bolt systems, layout, and tolerance verification.
- Experience on large-scale industrial or power projects (e.g., power plants, substations, energy infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and industry best practices.
- Ability to lead union or non-union craft labor in a direct-hire environment.
- Proficient in construction scheduling tools and reporting systems.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote project locations as needed.
