This role will initially be supporting Kiewit’s Central District on the Northwater Project in Golden Colorado. 

Kiewit Central District specializes in heavy civil, transportation projects and self performs much of the work done, so be ready to get on a project where hands on participation is a requirement. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. We are looking for people whom are passionate about working in the construction industry and are seeking a long-term career in the construction industry.   

Position Overview:
As a Quality Coordinator with Kiewit’s Central District, you will interact with Quality Inspectors and Technicians for scheduling, reporting, and verifying construction meets requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Review documents produced by both the quality team (Construction Project Inspectors) and operations before being uploaded to TeamBinder or forwarded to the Quality Document Controller.  
•    Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly quality reports.
•    Attend 3-week, 90-day, and critical path meetings to help keep quality schedule in alignment.
•    Work with operations in creating Inspection and Test Plans and operational checklists.
•    Field surveillances and audits.
•    Project closeout process
•    Heavy client engagement/coordination.
•    Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed.
•    Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.
•    Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Kiewit Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization.
•    Develop and complete Project Quality Records and Procedures.

•    Technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field OR four years’ engineering or science degree
•    Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel
•    Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications
•    Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions
•    Must be a self-starter, able to work with little direction or supervision and have the ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility
