This role will support Kiewit’s Central District on a project in Golden, CO. That being said, but Kiewit is looking for long term employees, and the ideal candidate will be open to relocation in the future.

Central District: 
Kiewit’s Central District, one of Kiewit’s largest infrastructure districts, constructs and upgrades interstates, highways, bridges, airport runways, taxiways and associated facilities.
Position Overview:
As a CAD Technician you will play a huge role in the success of a Kiewit Water Treatment project in Golden, CO. 

Primary Responsibility:
As a CAD Technician you will work within Project Wise, AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center to perform calculations required for survey requests and 3D machine control. You will maintain the files for utility locations, potholes and as-builts. You will work to navigate through Project Wise to pull designer CAD files and check them with the Plan PDF’s to ensure accuracy, calculate additional Survey points for field crew layouts etc.

You will also work with/support the Survey manager with calculations and insure the latest plans and digital files are being issued and used (QC Design files etc.). You will also work to train new rotational employees through the surveying department.

•    Minimum of 2+ years of experience with CAD in a Heavy Civil, Water Treatment or Industrial construction environment. 
•    Experience with Project Wise highly preferred 
•    Experience with Trimble Business Center, OR AutoCAD highly preferred (you will be trained in the system you do not have experience with).
•    Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
•    Committed to working safe and getting the job done right the first time
•    Must have reliable transportation
•    Must be willing to work long hours or weekends as needed
