Position Overview

The Machine Control Technician 2 role is crucial to the on-ground support for all heavy construction equipment, taking care of repairs, installs, measure-ups, calibrations, and all related tasks. The Machine Control Technician will stay up to date with all advancing technology and how to support it, understanding the inner workings of each device to provide a premium level of support to all Kiewit projects, the Machine Control Technician roles will report to the Lead Machine Control Technician.

Kiewit Equipment Services (KES) helps to ensure the profitability of Kiewit projects through the improved equipment utilization and mechanical reliability by delivering world-class equipment and service. Kiewit's Construction Technology group is on the leading edge of construction technology and our goal is to provide the Projects with a support network throughout their entire utilization of Construction Technology. Increasing productivity with support and training while cutting costs to the project due to our unique rent model.

Location

This position will be based in Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Have a complete understanding of various machine control systems
  • Utilizing survey equipment and strategies
  • Accurately utilizing Robotic Total Station 
  • Stay compliant with all Kiewit safety policies “Think! Safety Begins with me”
  • Effectively communicate with various members of the project team
  • Ensuring all Machine control systems are operating within their specified tolerance
  • Traveling as needed for repairs and training
  • Operate Helpline as needed
  • Minor component repair as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience repairing machine control systems
  • 2+ years of experience with Trimble Machine Control
  • 1+ year of experience training operators with Trimble Machine Control 
  • Trimble Certifications (Preferred)
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to travel 
  • Continuous learning mentality
  • Ability to lift 60lbs
