Position Overview
Kiewit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality assurance and quality control efforts within the Building market. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices while driving continuous improvement across building projects. The Quality Manager will partner closely with project teams, leadership, and clients to deliver safe, high-quality facilities that meet or exceed expectations.

Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Strategy
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management plan tailored to the Building market.
• Establish quality objectives, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with Kiewit’s corporate quality program.
• Promote a culture of quality excellence and accountability across all building projects.
Project Support & Execution
• Provide direct support to project teams in planning, implementing, and verifying quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead quality audits, inspections, and surveillance to ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and standards.
• Review and approve project-specific quality plans, submittals, and testing procedures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues and resolution on building projects.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
• Ensure all building projects meet regulatory, contractual, and Kiewit quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead corrective and preventive action programs to address deficiencies and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with safety, engineering, and construction teams to integrate quality with operational excellence.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and achieved.
• Provide regular quality performance reports and updates to project leadership and executive management.
• Represent Kiewit’s Building market in external audits, client meetings, and industry forums.
Leadership & Team Development
• Mentor, train, and develop quality professionals and project staff on quality processes, procedures, and tools.
• Foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the Building market quality team.
• Support workforce planning and talent development to build strong quality expertise within the business unit.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive quality management experience in the building construction sector (healthcare, education, commercial, or institutional projects preferred).
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, codes, and industry standards (e.g., IBC, NFPA, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean).
• Proven success in implementing and managing project quality programs on large, complex building projects.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Professional certifications such as CQE, CQM, Six Sigma, or PMP are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and regional offices as needed.

Base Compensation: $180,000/yr - $188,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
