Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Director, Business Development and Strategy to join our construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding business opportunities to drive revenue growth, market share, and profitability. The role involves a wide range of activities, including market research, strategic planning, networking, and client relationship management. District Overview
Kiewit Building Group specializes in constructing office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, science and technology facilities, manufacturing, retail and special-use facilities and extensive interior construction with tenant improvements. Its capabilities include general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development. Kiewit also provides fast, accurate preconstruction project management services. During the past 10 years, Kiewit has performed construction services for more than 1,100 vertical construction projects, totaling $7.5 billion in revenue

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve the company's growth objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and industry trends.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, including developers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key client executives through content-driven discussions aligned to the client's priorities and relevant trends.
- Create strategies for community partnerships to ensure Kiewit has diverse presence.
- Create and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities through various channels, including networking, trade shows, and digital marketing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and finance, to develop competitive proposals and win new business.
- Assist in negotiation and closing new business deals, ensuring profitable margins and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales activity, pipeline development, and market trends.
Qualifications
• At least 5 years of experience in business development or sales in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-driven mindset.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and sales skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, particularly in West coast market.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry, including project management, design, and engineering principles.

Base Compensation: $150,000/yr - $170,000/yr
