Position Overview

Field Operations Managers are responsible for overseeing and coordinating all field activities to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and quality standards. This role involves managing field teams, optimizing workflows, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Kiewit’s Bridge & Marine District operates with heavy civil, marine, and industrial capabilities across North America. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily field operations across multiple sites or regions.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and service delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, reporting updates to senior leadership.

  • Recruit, train, and manage field staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance and resolve issues proactively.

  • Maintain accurate records of field activities, including work orders, inspections, and incident reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in construction field operations, project management, or a supervisory role.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • Ability to travel frequently and work in dynamic environments.
