Position Overview

As a Scheduler, you will get the opportunity to work closely with construction and engineering operations as you develop engineering and construction schedules. You will be responsible for building and updating schedules as various milestones and project deliverables are completed or added to scope of work. Provide updates to key project team members on the progress of project progression.

District Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering Group’s Design Build Management team are driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects to manage their multi-disciplined design teams to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-driven engineers analyze root causes and resolve design issues before they impact schedule and budget. Particularly on large design-build projects, clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. This position is based out of Englewood, CO

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction
  • Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources
  • Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates
  • Apply vast knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critic path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems. May interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give statistical reports
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years’ experience in Primavera (P6) Scheduling preferred 
  • The ability to travel (up to 50%)
  • Associates degree, Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related degree
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated work ethic
  • The ability to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done
  • Occasional extended assignments at other sites are possible
  • Ability to relocate based on business needs
  • Must meet the requirements of eligibility to work on Federal Projects
