This position will report to the HR Business Partner and provide front-line HR service to one of the company’s most complex shared service organizations. 

It will be key to establish a strong partnership with operational stakeholders and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.  
 

District Overview

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit.  In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence.  Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization. 

Location

This position is located in Lone Tree, Colorado. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the department HRBP in the areas of performance management, employee relations and career development
  • Support on-boarding process for both full-time employees and interns to ensure consistent messaging across the department
  • Leverage HR dashboards, reports, and data to build reports, presentations, and communications for the HRBP and department leadership
  • Support execution of employee performance programs and expectations to maximize workforce productivity
  • Monitor workforce engagement for trends that require action to ensure high employee morale and retention
  • Assist with the development and execution of HR related strategies to help ensure implementation and execution
  • Serve as a change agent by influencing key stakeholders in support of organizational needs
  • Partner with the various HR Centers of Excellence to ensure the delivery of approvals, information, and systems training
  • Utilize and implement various human resource information systems (HRIS) and provide support to employees and managers
  • Partner with department sponsors to ensure implementation of all department programs, policies, and procedures
  • Assist the HRBP with employee and manager HR related consultations as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • This position requires a HR professional who can strike the balance between execution and strategy
  • 3 + years’ experience in multiple human resources functions is ideal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel. Experience with PowerBI or other data analytics software is a plus
  • Ability to influence individuals and groups
  • Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships
  • Sound business acumen and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
  • Strong work ethic, willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt

Base Compensation: 61,362  - 92,044 
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
