Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Completions & Turnover Lead to oversee and manage the completions and turnover process on major industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry-standard completions software. This role requires flexibility for rotational assignments and relocation to project sites as needed.

District Overview

Kiewit Energy Canada is a major industrial contractor that specializes a wide range of engineering, procurement and construction services to the oil, gas, chemical, ethanol and related process industries. Our projects involve construction of oil sands processing facilities, including steam-assisted gravity drainage facilities, refinery expansions, gas plant expansions, co-generation facilities, major mine developments and pipe spool fabrication. 

Location

We are hiring out of Calgary and Edmonton however this role may require project placement and relocation or rotation. 

The successful candidate will be flexible to both relocate and work a rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the completions and turnover process from construction through to commissioning and handover.
  • Supervise a small team of completions coordinators and field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain system and subsystem boundaries, turnover packages, and punch list management.
  • Ensure all documentation, inspections, and quality checks are completed in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Interface with construction, quality, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure seamless transition and turnover.
  • Utilize and manage completions software such as Smart Completions, Orbit, WinPCS, or equivalent platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports of completions progress and turnover documentation.
  • Coordinate system walkdowns and associated documentation packages.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

•    Minimum 5 years of experience in construction completions and turnover on large-scale industrial projects (e.g., oil & gas, energy, mining).
•    Proven experience leading small teams in a field-based environment.
•    Proficiency in completions management systems such as Smart Completions, Orbit, WinPCS, or similar.
•    Strong understanding of construction workflows, quality assurance, and commissioning processes.
•    Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•    Willingness and ability to relocate and work on a rotational schedule as required by project demands.
•    Legally authorized to work in Alberta and British Columbia

Preferred additional qualifications:

•    Technical diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
•    Experience with digital turnover and document control systems.
•    Familiarity with ISO and industry standards for completions.
