We are currently looking for an onsite Environmental Manager who will lead and oversee the environmental management practices of a construction project. District Overview

Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry rather than design.

•    Perform regulatory research to determine compliance requirements with all permits and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
•    Leading the implementation of environmental policies and practices
•    Coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy
•    Training staff at all levels in environmental issues and responsibilities
•    Promoting and raising awareness, at all levels of an organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issues, whether legislative or best practice, on corporate, ethical and social responsibility.
•    Carrying out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organization’s environmental risks and financial costs.
•    Respond to project requests and needs for assistance with environmental compliance.


•    Undergraduate degree in an environmental science or engineering field.
•    Minimum 3 years' experience
•    Strong written and oral communications skills
•    Strong work ethic – Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
•    Ability to facilitate team information and be professional
•    Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
•    Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
•    Ability to interact effectively and professionally with consultants and governmental agencies
•    Uncompromising attitude toward safety 
•    Willingness and ability to relocate, long term, to job sites
