Position Overview
The Onboarding and Training Support Team is looking for an Onboarding Instructor with a primary focus on Hoisting & Rigging training. The Instructor will provide training programs necessary for project onboarding and site access qualifications of all trade staff supporting projects at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.

Location
The position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON. The successful candidate will be local to Darlington, Oshawa or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training programs on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) topics such as Hoisting & Rigging, Work at Heights, Supervisor Training, First Aid, Elevating Work Platform, Forklift Operation, etc.
- Collaborate with teams to gather expectations, share best practices, and coordinate training requirements.
- Foster a learning-conducive environment for employees.
- Provide timely feedback to management and supervisors regarding employee competency.
- Establish measurable goals and competency levels for trainees.
- Document all training in line with legislative standards and project governance.
- Promote a positive safety culture, encouraging continuous improvement in the EHS management system.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Provincial OHS Legislation.
- Extensive experience with BTU trades and work practices.
- Proven leadership skills with effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
- At least 5 years of experience in in the construction industry.
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience in the Health and Safety field.
- A designation such as NCSO would be an asset. #LI-IS1
