Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Control Technician to support and install advanced machine control systems across heavy civil construction projects throughout North America. This is a field-based, travel-intensive role with a focus on high-quality system installations, remote technical support, and strong collaboration with survey and equipment teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in machine control systems, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in dynamic field environments. You’ll serve as a reliable resource within a growing team of technicians, helping ensure consistent execution and system reliability across all job sites.

Location
This position will be based out of our Dallas office Location.
Responsibilities
• Perform advanced installations of Trimble Earthworks and CAT Grade machine control systems on heavy equipment
• Travel to job sites across North America to complete installations, calibrations, and system setup
• Provide ongoing remote and on-site support for survey and equipment teams
• Utilize Trimble survey tools (rovers, Robotic Total Stations, base stations) for system checks and calibration
• Diagnose and repair hardware and electrical components using appropriate tools and testing equipment
• Support system configurations, updates, and troubleshooting as needed
• Maintain documentation of install activities, system settings, and support cases
• Ensure all work aligns with safety standards and project-specific protocols
Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with machine control systems (Trimble strongly preferred)
• Working knowledge of survey workflows, earthmoving equipment behavior, and site calibration procedures
• Proficiency with GPS and UTS survey equipment, including Total Stations and rovers
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to use multi-meters and read technical diagrams
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both field and remote teams
