We are adding a Field HR Operations Specialist to our in team to support a project in Dallas, Taylor, Austin, TX.  In this role, you will be responsible for delivering HR functions and actions aligning with business objectives at large project field locations. You will be supporting a major construction project, so you are at the sites, working alongside the employees executing the project, working non-typical shifts that could include early morning and evening hours as well as weekends, depending on the shift.  As a Field HR Operations Specialist, you will be delivering human resource-related support to the Project team, as well as acting as an employee champion and change agent. You will be crucial in executing and improving the “Field HR” delivery model, used throughout the entire Kiewit organization. You will be expected to support all employees of your assigned project while partnering with key leaders to understand and maintain knowledge of the Project's schedule of completion, key performance indices, current objectives, culture, and competition.

Responsibilities


Craft Employee Related Functions:
•    Work with Leaders on the project and utilize project/schedule data to determine future craft needs 
•    Prepare requisitions for craft hiring and work closely with the off-site craft recruiting team to staff the project
•    Schedule and conduct craft orientation, assist with completion of all new hire paperwork, I-9 documentation, and required paperwork for the project and ensure documentation is submitted through appropriate channels.  Will work closely with jobsite supervisors to ensure all paperwork for employees are up to date and compliant.
•    Assist new hires with Benefits Enrollment
•    Process hiring actions in SAP with Kiewit Business Services (KBS)
•    Review and Track Craft Performance Development, as well as process promotions and pay actions/increases for employees, working with our Kiewit Business Services Team.
•    Oversee and maintain project-wide database information
•    Work closely with jobsite supervision on processing separations for exiting employees
•    Maintain records as required by the project team.  
    
Project Training Related Functions:
•    Maintain project rosters, training records and databases
•    Work with operations to determine training needs, coordinate training across the Project with multiple groups, & maintain a project-wide training calendar, providing visibility to leadership of status
 
 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
1-3 years of related project HR experience preferred, preferably in a construction, technical, industrial or manufacturing environment.  (Experience in Project Document Control, Project Site Admin, Project Site Safety would be relevant)
Experience working on a construction site preferred
HR experience supporting functions like hiring, onboarding, documentation, and employee support with hourly, or laborers or craft employees preferred
Ability to communicate and influence individuals and groups to gain buy-in and acceptance of new ideas and approaches
Proven ability to take the initiative and build strong and productive business relationships with all levels of staff
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and MS Teams - Intermediate formula knowledge to compare/review different sets of data, pivot tables, formatting
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Willing and able to work onsite at project locations/construction sites and work project shifts which could include starting at 6:30/7:00 am, off shift and weekend support depending on the project schedule

•    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary

Base Compensation: 52,000 - 72,800 
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
