Position Overview

We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic Human Resources Coordinator to join our vibrant district.  This position is provides high-level support to our Managers and employees, and requires a well-rounded, detailed-oriented and responsive individual with excellent interpersonal skills to work in a fast-paced environment. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining all tracking reports, assisting with department dashboard reports, coordinating the onboarding of employees and supporting the department in the administration of assigned transactional work.

District Overview

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit.  In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence.  Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization. 

Location

This position is based out of Calgary, AB. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of HR programs;
  • Support the HR Team to execute projects including business plan initiatives, communications, results tracking and reporting;
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in the areas of administration, day to day, performance management, employee relations and career development;
  • Build and maintain relationships with all levels of employees;
  • Utilize and implement various human resource information systems (HRIS) and provide support to employees and managers;

Qualifications

  • Completed or pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Ability to manage confidential information in strict confidence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Candidate must also be able and willing to travel as business requires.
