The Recruiting Internship requires a highly driven and self-directed individual who has the ability to work with limited direction and be extremely proactive. This position is ideal for HR students who are looking to gain industry experience while attending a post-secondary institution. The position is part-time requiring approximately 15-20 hours/week. The internship is designed to aggressively learn the industry and Kiewit culture through on-the-job experience in the following areas:
• Help Talent Acquisition team identify, attract and hire the best talent at all levels
• Be involved in the full life-cycle of the recruiting process (posting, sourcing, screening, interviews)
• Develop and apply working knowledge of current HR laws and regulations
• Research current industry recruiting programs and practices
• Assist with daily HR transactions
• Provide customer service support and troubleshooting assistance for our Recruiting system to internal and external users
• Assist with project management of corporate recruiting events and programs
• Serve as a vital link in company communications using best practices and offering support
• Assist with Vendor Management: pulling reports, analyzing data, creating tables and graphs
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or related field, or currently pursuing such a degree
• Exceptional ability to build credibility quickly at all levels within an organization
• Demonstrated critical and innovative thinking
• Ability to use analytical skills by turning ideas or data into workable information, products and programs
• Reliable, with the ability to follow through with tasks and meet deadlines

• Valid driver's license
• Experience with Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Human Resources or recruiting experience through internships, classes, and projects
