Main Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of construction site(s).
  • Ensure the alignment of best practices for safety, quality and execution.
  • Maintain relationships with client representatives.
  • Maintain relationships with sub-contractors.
  • Daily verification that safety requirements and commitments are met.
  • Hold morning day plan meetings and daily equipment planning and coordination meetings.
  • Verify that the disciplines are executing the work that has been planned.
  • Spend time in the field to verify work is being executed with quality and timely.
  • Review the ITP's with your superintendents.
  • Check safety routes to ensure that they are relevant and that problems are resolved.
  • Review weekly man hours earned against scheduled man hours.
  • Review the suggestion sheets on safety.
  • Assist the superintendents in ensuring that the BTIS team is active
  • Attend and present the progress of construction work at management and owner meetings.
  • Asses job chnages and staff training opportunities.
  • Review the report on costs, projections and finiancial plans.
  • Update the project equipment schedule and send it to the district office.
  • Review ST&S and equipment costs with superintendents.
  • Review progress against the CPM timetable



  • Engineering degree or technical diploma with 8 to 12 years of experience as a construction manager.
  • Experience in the construction of API 650 tanks.
  • Experience with the construction of tanks over 150 feet in diameter.
  • Ability to develop and implement plans to achieve project milestones and minimize project or component costs.
  • Ability to design office construction plans for project execution.
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of the time
  • Bilingual in French and English will be a plus
