You will be responsible for managing the full proposal lifecycle for infrastructure projects ranging in value from $10M to more than $1B. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, experience in a fast-paced environment, and an interest in engineering and construction. You have previously managed multi-volume and concurrent deliverables and experience driving the proposal win strategy. You work well both individually and in a team environment and are comfortable with tight deadlines.

Kiewit Infrastructure Proposal Services supports Kiewit’s Get Work efforts from qualifications through the interview phases. Team members enjoy working with a variety of pursuit teams across the United States to develop winning strategies and content for each proposal. We work on pursuits procured using alternative-delivery models, including CMGC, design-build, progressive design-build, and other best-value models. We take a collaborative and integrated approach to developing winning proposals through brainstorms, critical concept meetings, and regular proposal reviews.

Location

This position is based out of our Burnaby, BC office. 
 

Responsibilities

•    Coordinate with Regional Proposal Strategy Manager to understand win strategy and define proposal vision
•    Participate in upfront strategy/capture process with Alternative-Delivery team
•    Take full ownership of proposal development process for assigned pursuits, i.e., execute the defined win strategy effectively, engage as a leader within the overall pursuit team, integrate your full proposal team, and ensure quality and compliance
•    Develop an execution plan that considers schedule, budget, and availability of resources
•    Provide leadership and direction to pursuit team, including schedule management, compliance oversight, writing instructions, and team guidance
•    Manage and contribute to the development of compliant, responsive, and compelling proposal content
•    Incorporate win strategy themes, differentiators, and client benefits into proposal sections 
•    Build trust and relationships at all levels of the company and navigate management hierarchy
•    Facilitate effective meetings (in-person, remote, or a mix) with as many as 150 participants, including kickoff and milestone color reviews 
•    Perform final review of all required elements for proposal submission to confirm delivery of compliant, compelling, and comprehensive response
•    Provide message development and delivery coaching in interview phase
•    Provide oversight, mentoring, and training to proposal coordinators and specialists, with full responsibility for direct report deliverable quality and career progression
 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess all or most of the following:
•    Five (5) years of proposal management experience in the AEC industry with an emphasis on $100M+ alternative-delivery projects, such as design-build, progressive design-build, and/or public private partnerships (P3) 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent
•    Proficiency in Adobe InDesign   
•    Prior experience with Unanet, Salesforce, or similar software

Base Compensation: $115,000/yr - $145,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
