Position Overview

As a Business Development Specialist, you will report to the Business Development Manager/Director and work closely with the entire Business Development and District Leadership Teams focusing on opportunities in the water/wastewater market. There will be vital interaction to ensure our approach to new work pursuits is an organized and efficient operation.

District Overview

Kiewit Water Facilities South specializes in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants across North America. Because our people receive continuous and extensive training, hands-on experience, and challenging responsibilities from day one, they quickly develop the expertise that has earned our district its reputation as the premier contractor in the southeast United States. 

Location

This position is based out of Boston, MA or Westlake, TX and require work in office Mondayto Friday with travel and business necessities. 

Responsibilities

Summary:
Supports new business efforts through research, data organization, and coordination with senior team members. This is an entry-level, hands-on role focused on learning the market, supporting proposals, and keeping pursuit data accurate and up to date.

  • Gathers client, competitor, and market intel to support strategic decisions.
  • Assists with pursuit materials, capture plans, and proposal preperation.
  • Uses good judgment and initiative to meet team goals.
  • Keeps CRM data clean, current, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in the water industry/market.
• Ability to prioritize and complete a high volume of work, managing multiple projects and coordinating multiple requests to successful completion.
• Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships
• Excellent creative and strategic abilities.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
• Understanding of data management and analytical software, such as CRM, SharePoint, Tableau, etc. Prior use of these analytical software is highly desirable.
