Position Overview
Kiewit is seeking an entry level Scheduling Analyst to perform planning & scheduling activities on a large construction project in the DFW area. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to directly impact the scheduling outcome, from estimate through project completions, over a broad range of projects. By analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining the projects’ progress, you’ll prepare and analyze reports, develop alternative solutions, and be a key team member in driving successful project completion.
District Overview
Kiewit's South-Central District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction
- Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the project.
- Develop and maintain schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, available manpower, and resources.
- Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Assist in the management of internal controls including implementing new process controls, measuring the project’s performance, reporting on project status, and ensuring the integrity and validity of internally and externally disseminated information.
- Gain and apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology to develop and maintain critic path logic networks and accumulate/access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
- Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
- Collaborate effectively with various project teams, field personnel, and clients to create accurate reports and achieve goals under deadline.
- Attend regular meetings and give statistical reports as needed.
Qualifications
- Associates or undergraduate degree in business, finance, data management, engineering, construction management, or related field..
- Experience using Primavera (P6) scheduling.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with different project teams and personnel to gather data and meet project goals.
- Must be computer proficient and be able to adapt to new innovations and processes as they arise.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic, time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
