Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the transportation compliance program for the assigned location(s) to include; Driver Qualification Files, Pre-Employment, Post-Accident, Random, and Reasonable Suspicion drug testing, Hours of Service records, driver training, etc.
  • Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, follow-up, and closure of action items.
  • Work with Project Operations, DOT Compliance Supervisor, and Regional Transportation Compliance Managers to ensure compliance with Company requirements, Federal and State DOT regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of district and project management, Regional Transportation Compliance Manager, staff, and craft employees.  
  • Prepare, analyze, and disseminate detailed reports from the Company’s current ELD and telematics system.
  • Assist with the loading, routing, and delivery methods. 
  • Work within Company data systems to record and track equipment maintenance and utilization.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

 

  • Working knowledge of Federal and State trucking regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations; a working knowledge of the DOT Letters of Interpretation and other Regulatory Guidance a plus. 
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments with limited supervision.
  • Self-starter, ability to prioritize and organize projects and assignments with limited supervision.
  • A learner’s attitude that consistently demonstrates curiosity and flexibility.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive and positive manner.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations and other regulatory documents.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers and typical production software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • GeoTab ELD experience a plus.
