Position Overview

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will play a crutia role in Central Districts success ensuring the we remain in compliance with federal and local procedures and guidelines.

District Overview

Central:

Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry rather than design. 

Location

Although this opportunity is with Kiewit’s Central District, we do work across the United States and require our employees to be open to relocation. We have opportunities in Colorado, Tennessee, Montana and Iowa.

Responsibilities

•    Manage programs, policies, and practices to ensure that Kiewit is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, company policies and contractual agreements
•    Tracks laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies
•    Prepare compliance reports to present to management
•    Research quality or compliance issues and recommend changes for improvements
•    Proactively support our goals and strategies
•    Identify gaps by utilizing reporting tools, analysis data, metrics and other tools while researching ways to improve, develop and deliver strategic solutions.
•    Develop and maintain a network of working relationships with all levels of Kiewit management

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred
•    Experience managing direct reports
•    Knowledge of payroll regulations (ie. tax, garnishments, union benefits, internal controls)
•    2+ years' experience in, regulatory compliance, and process improvement
•    SAP experience a plus
•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
•    Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills
•    Ability to solve unique problems with creative solutions
•    Strong communication skills
•    Vigorous understanding of the interrelationship among processes, risks and controls
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required
