Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented OFCI Manager to support our growing portfolio of Data Center construction projects. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed equipment and materials, ensuring timely coordination, delivery, and installation in alignment with project schedules and specifications. The OFCI Manager will be embedded on-site and serve as a key liaison between the owner, vendors, and construction teams.

Kiewit’s Industrial and Water Engineering Group has the ability and the responsibility to greatly influence the successful outcome of our projects. Our team is multi-faceted, with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities. 

Location

This position will be based on-site in Abilene, Texas or San Antonio, Texas once an individual onboards and supports pre-commissioning in Kansas City. 

Responsibilities

OFCI Coordination:

    • Manage the lifecycle of OFCI equipment from procurement through turnover.
    • Coordinate with owners, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and readiness for installation.
    • Maintain detailed tracking logs and documentation for all OFCI items.

On-Site Execution:

    • Oversee receipt, inspection, and storage of OFCI materials on-site.
    • Ensure proper handling and installation of OFCI equipment per manufacturer and project specifications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to delivery delays, damage, or installation conflicts.

Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for OFCI-related matters on-site.
    • Facilitate regular coordination meetings with vendors, owners, and project teams.
    • Provide status updates and reporting to project leadership.

Documentation & Compliance:

    • Ensure all OFCI documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with project requirements.
    • Support commissioning and turnover processes by providing necessary OFCI documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project coordination, preferably with OFCI or data center projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction logistics, vendor coordination, and equipment installation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at project locations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with hyperscale or enterprise data center builds.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems commonly found in data centers.
  • Prior experience working with owner-furnished equipment and vendor management.
