We are adding a team of Drainage/Water Resources design engineers and designers at all levels!  The role is located in Bellevue, WA, with the opportunity for flexible work.  We have had two record years in 2020 and 2021, and will be growing our teams in the Northwest and throughout the US including design-build, public-private partnerships (P3), construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC), and design-bid-build.

This role is temporarily based out of our Federal Way office until our Bellevue office opens.  Opportunities for flexible work are available.  We offer relocation assistance to individuals interested in living/working in that region. 


You will be part of a team supporting design/heavy civil construction for projects, performing drainage design, detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis (using various models and methods), and preparation of design plans, reports and technical memoranda. 


Specific deliverables may include: 

•    Single-event and continuous rainfall modeling, Watershed analysis, hydrograph and peak discharge development and routing

•    Pavement drainage, culverts, storm systems, pump stations, bridge sizing and scour, sediment transport, revetment design, and coastal considerations for highway and transit drainage
•    Flood analysis and knowledge of the NFIP including CLOMR and LOMRs
•    Stormwater quantity / quality calculations, LID, NPDES compliance and erosion control


Drainage Design 
•    Development of drainage plans, profiles, specifications and estimates for transportation and water resources projects. This includes developing terrain, grading and other design components via models such as Inroads, Arc-GIS and other pre and post processing software packages



  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • EIT or FE required
  • 2+ years drainage/hydrology/water resources design experience 
  • Design-Build project experience preferred
  • Software Modeling experience required in one or more of the following: MicroStation, AutoCAD, Arc-GIS, GEOPAK, Inroads, Civil3D, OpenRoads, HydroCAD.
  • Drainage/Hydrology software experience required in one or more of the following: HEC-RAS, HEC-GEORAS, HY-8, CulvertMaster, StormCAD, CivilStorm, PondPack, FlowMaster, 2D experience helpful such as SRH-2D, FLO-2D
  • Understanding of FHWA hydraulic engineering circulars and design series
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work with 
  • This position includes occasional travel to project offices and work sites. Ability to travel at times
