Position Overview

Kiewit Corporation is seeking a self-motivated individual with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills to work in our Project and Financial Accounting Department, located in Omaha, Nebraska.  This position requires the individual to work independently and as part of a team, while performing the following duties.

Location

This position is based out of Kiewit's headquarters at 1550 Mike Fahey Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review government filings including pre-qualifications, annual reports and federal registrations
  • Work with operational employees to complete proposal information
  • Work collaboratively with the Legal department to obtain support for duties above, when necessary
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • This position requires self-awareness and initiative.  This individual must be assertive to take on learning activities and grasp developmental opportunities.  A successful candidate will be highly motivated and have the ability to build relationships quickly and naturally.  These relationships will bring this candidate the credibility needed to operate as a successful business partner within the Kiewit Companies.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze underlying principles, reasons or facts surrounding financial reports
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Effective communicator. Ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers and internal customers clearly and accurately, as well as accurate, efficient and corrective feedback
  • “Do what it takes” attitude. Ability to put in the time required to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to plan and prioritize work, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of team
  • Strong computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Previous Kiewit experience preferred
  • Previous experience with SAP preferred
  • General knowledge of financial statements
