Position Overview

The project HR team focuses on enhancing the employee experience and developing “best in class” people practices project wide. The project HR team has established a strategy and operating model that understands and responds to employee needs and concerns; as well deliver exceptional employee experience. This includes partnership with the business, safety, function, and HR leaders on an in-depth review of feedback, culture & conduct, employee experience aspects of regulatory-related deliverables. Overall, this organization will span the traditional HR lifecycle, employee engagement and broader listening strategy.

This position is based on-site at a construction project in New York, New York.


Craft Employee-Related Functions 
•    Utilizing craft man curve data to determine future craft needs 
•    Engage Operations union contact to communicate craft needs to local union hall(s)
•    Execute craft onboarding tasks including SAP hire actions and I-9s
•    Sorting and distribution of pay stubs
•    Employee performance policy documentation and maintenance
•    Drive execution of employee performance programs and expectations to maximize workforce productivity. 
•    Processing promotions and pay increases with KBS
•    Submitting required documentation paperwork
•    Working closely with jobsite supervision ensuring paperwork is up to date and compliant.
•    Maintaining project-wide database information
•    Working closely with jobsite supervision on processing separation
•    Uploading required documentation to record-keeping 


Staff Employee Related Functions 
•    Utilize resource planner data to identify project staff employee needs and need date
•    Coordinate external staff hiring needs with the Project Director, HRBP, and Staff Recruiting
•    Working closely with Project Operations to determine training needs
•    Support project development plans and programs to ensure all project staff is receiving proper training and experiences.
•    Maintaining project training records and databases
•    Development and implementation of training
•    Coordinating training across the Project with multiple groups
•    Maintain required employment posters and affirmative action binder. 


•    Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Smartsheet, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
•    Ability to work in a team environment assisting others with their duties as needed.
•    Actively works to train others to perform the job duties of this position allowing the cross-training of HR team members. 
•    Ability to work self-directed with an off-site manager
•    Ability to travel and work from different offices effectively and efficiently. 
•    Impeccable judgment and discretion.
•    Excellent reporting and communication skills allowing for managers and team members to be informed of workload and ongoing activities ensuring that there are “no surprises” for other team members. 
•    Experienced working on a team that excels operationally and is laser-focused on key stakeholder experience – employees, managers, and partners.
