Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and hyper-organized individual that partners with internal stakeholders to strategically plan and execute Kiewit’s tradeshow exhibits and various external-facing client events. The Client Event & Tradeshow Coordinator is a highly visible role that requires extensive project management and communication skills, a high level of professionalism and willingness to handle numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously. The Client Event & Tradeshow Coordinator will join our growing events team and will report to the Marketing Manager, Events.
District Overview
The Kiewit Energy marketing, creative and proposal team provide get-work services to an array of markets, including power generation, transmission and distribution, renewables, industrial, oil and gas, and water/wastewater. Individuals in this department get exposure to a mix of high profile, complex pursuits across North America valued from $5M-$6B. This incredibly profitable, competitive, fun group focuses on winning more work with high-quality, client-focused sales strategies through creative communication techniques. Our rapidly growing team, which includes graphic designers, proposal professionals, writers, digital strategists, marketers, and data analytics brings vast experience, communication expertise, innovative concepts, and best practices to all projects we support across the company.

Responsibilities
• Partners with internal executive leadership and business development teams to successfully and collaboratively strategize, plan, organize and execute events of varying sizes for Kiewit’s diverse energy, industrial and water markets
• Independently and proactively completes all facets associated with event inception through completion, including strategic planning; tactical execution and coordination of logistics; vendor procurement and management; contract negotiation; detailed budgeting and forecasting; coordination of event materials; tracking and evaluating statistical data; post-event reporting; and other services as required
• Collaborates with the internal graphic design and marketing teams to develop strategic visual elements that produce the best possible attendee experience while representing the Kiewit brands professionally and consistently
• Provides effective and timely solutions while executing multiple projects with shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Presents self professionally in all written, verbal, virtual and in-person scenarios, no matter the audience
• Collaborates with events colleagues to share industry updates, promote best practices, drive synergies and consistency, and foster a culture of innovation
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
• 3+ years of client-facing, corporate events or related experience
• Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Word required)
• Innate attention to detail with the ability to anticipate and solve for problems before they surface
• Excellent listening and communication skills, including the ability to mitigate issues calmly, professionally and collaboratively
• Expert organizational and time-management skills
• Adaptable, quick learner with an assertive and outgoing attitude
• Self-motivated and highly productive with little hands-on supervision
• Travel up to 25%
