Position Overview
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for finance, accuracy, and supporting business operations? Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our growing team in Itasca, IL.
In this role, you'll support the financial and administrative activities that help keep our projects and operations running smoothly. Working closely with project teams and business leaders, you'll assist with reporting, documentation, financial tracking, and day-to-day coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
District Overview
Kiewit’s Industrial and Water Engineering Group has the ability and the responsibility to greatly influence the successful outcome of our projects. Our team is multi-faceted, with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities.
Location

Responsibilities
As a Finance Administrator, you'll support the team across a variety of financial and administrative activities, including:
Concur and Expense Support
• Review and approve expense reports and company travel card transactions.
• Serve as a Concur resource, answer employee questions, and provide training.
•Follow up on missing receipts, cost allocation issues, and other discrepancies.
Prep Book and Audit Support
•Review prep book line items for accuracy and required documentation.
•Conduct audits, communicate corrections, and track open items to completion.
General Administration
•Coordinate catering, office supplies, meetings, and visitors.
•Plan and support holiday parties, team-building events, and office activities.
•Maintain organized records, communicate deadlines, and support other project needs.
Skills and Qualifications
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new systems.
•Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
•Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through.
•Professional, approachable, and service-oriented.
•Concur, expense review, audit, training, or administrative experience is preferred.

Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and enjoys supporting financial and business operations in a collaborative environment. Ideal qualifications include:
- 0-5 years of finance, accounting, administrative, or business support experience (entry-level candidates with strong analytical skills and motivation are encouraged to apply)
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required with relevant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Experience with Concur, ERP systems, or other financial software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and organization
- Comfortable working with financial data, reports, invoices, and budgets
- Ability to work professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Positive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and support the broader team where needed

Base Compensation: $20/hr - $30/hr
