Position Overview

Kiewit’s precast facility plays a vital role in building infrastructure that connects and sustains communities. As a Precast Construction Manager or General Superintendent, you’ll oversee planning, fabrication, and execution of concrete components for a precast yard ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met. District Overview

Pinnacle Prestress is a subsidiary of Kiewit, one of the largest engineering and construction organizations in North America. We provide clients with state-of-the-art operations to ensure the highest quality precast concrete projects.

Location

This position will be based onsite at our precast facility in Wasco, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies, regulations, and acts. 
  • Demonstrate leadership to all parties on site including managing field resources to complete their portion of work safely, on-time and to an acceptable standard of quality. 
  • Developing and coordinating site work schedules (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
  • Organizing and presiding over regular safety meetings 
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean site. 
  • Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication)
  • Maintain good client relations involving staff on site.
  • Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings for problem resolution and planning.
  • Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates And make changes based on resutls
  • Review, approve and negotiate change orders.
  • Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover.
  • Maintain daily diary for record keeping purposes.
  • Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy and procedural or staff changes
  • Directly Manage a team of FLS
  • Review Work Plans and Assist in planning efforts and problem solving

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with on-site coordination and management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers, control of work areas and quality control on large-scale and complex projects.   
  • Demonstrated experience in working on construction projects including problem solving and working with multiple construction crews.  
  • 10 years or more of demonstrated onsite experience of onsite coordination and management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as construction management, engineering, or architecture. 
  • Experience in precast prestressing concrete not required, but encouraged

  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

 

Base Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
