Location
This position will initially start in the office in either The Woodlands OR Energy Corridor office in the Houston area. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of safety performance across multiple projects within a major program
- Develop and implement program-wide safety strategies, standards, and initiatives aligned with company and client expectations
- Lead, mentor, and manage project safety leaders to ensure consistent execution and accountability
- Partner with operations, engineering, and project leadership to integrate safety into all phases of work planning and execution
- Monitor safety performance metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and client-specific safety standards
- Lead incident prevention efforts, including high-potential risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Oversee incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support workforce engagement and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization
- Interface with executive leadership and clients on safety performance, risks, and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of progressive safety experience in construction, engineering, or industrial environments
- Proven experience leading safety for large, complex projects or multi-project programs
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles
- Experience working in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing safety teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
