Position Overview
As an Field HR Coordinator, you will help our project HR team focus on aligning and improving best practices of talent attraction and talent acquisition for project sites; to drive increased efficiencies, improve customer experience, and reduce cost. In this role, you will be responsible for taking direct ownership of successful internal and external customer relationships through effective planning and execution of a variety of support functions focused on bringing best practices and resources together in the most efficient and effective manner.

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.
Kiewit's South Central District has played a major role in constructing infrastructure projects throughout the United States. We specialize in highway and heavy civil construction including grading, excavating, trenching, bridge construction, concrete, asphalt paving and more. Location
This project is located on a construction site in Study Butte, TX. Kiewit will provide housing in addition to per diem/travel pay for candidates for this role as per diem housing/hotel options are limited in the area - details will be discussed further in the interview. Upon completion of this project, mobility/ability to relocate is desired for future opportunities with the organization.
Responsibilities
- Professionally and accurately responds to written and oral inquiries from employees and managers regarding HR questions, issues, problems. This will include telephone, chat, e-mail, and drop-in face-to-face interactions
- Provide administrative and office support to Kiewit Talent Acquisition Advisors across North America in a fast-paced, high-volume, construction environment
- Schedule candidate interviews, coordinating with Hiring Managers
- Arrange and coordinate meetings as needed
- Pay invoices in SAP, reconcile expenses, and process reimbursements with accurate cost coding
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, such as Department of Labor (DOL) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers, candidates and customers
- Manages employee changes, special pays, employee updates, Tuition Reimbursement requests, and report requests
- Plans and conducts new hire orientation (in-person and remote sessions)
- Interfaces with Centers of Excellence partners to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems
- Quickly and accurately resolves cases in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Escalates complex cases to achieve resolution
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience
- Degree in Human Resources or related preferred
- Exposure to HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors) a plus
- Experience with sourcing candidates a plus
- Knowledge of various areas of human resources including benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, and compensation
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, Shared Service / Center of Excellence office environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and individuals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
