Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Quality Specialist 3 to oversee quality management for the USACE project alongside SFWMD on the C23 contract 4A project. The Quality Specialist will ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, lead quality assurance initiatives, and manage quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Management: Implement and maintain USACE quality management standards and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to SFWMD regulations and requirements.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor and manage quality control activities for the C23 contract 4A project.
  • Three-Phase Control System: Apply the three-phase control system to construction quality management.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain and review quality control documentation.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication of quality standards and expectations to all stakeholders

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably on USACE and SFWMD projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM).
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, familiarity with project management software, excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with USACE and SFWMD projects.
  • Knowledge of construction quality management methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and ensuring high-quality standards.
