Kiewit Southwest District specializes in heavy civil, transportation and water projects, we typically self-perform a large portion of the work. Phoenix Arizona;  Future projects may be in Las Vegas Nevada or Utah.  Willingness to relocate is required and we offer relocation assistance.  


Manage implementation of the Company’s Quality Program in selected projects and districts.
Drive support in the development and implementation of the Company and project Quality Plans and by research/answering questions of a technical nature.
Interact with Company, district and project management as well as staff and craft to guide successful outcomes
Manage a robust quality control staff, oversee inspections and perform those as necessary.  
Maintain all documents (letters, material submittals, shop drawing submittals, Schedules, project documentation) and records at the site, except as otherwise acceptable to the Contracting Officer.
Review and approve all construction submittals.  
Conduct the minimum of three phases (Preparatory, Initial and Follow up) of control for each definable feature of the construction work.
Overall responsibility and oversight for quality aspects of the project, including management of all quality control personnel and reporting as required. 


•    Ability to travel and relocate as needed 
•    Degree in engineering plus 4 or more years’ experience as a Quality Manager in heavy civil construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience as a Quality Manager in Heavy Civil Construction is required, performing the functions as described above.   Experience with any of the following are required:  Roadway, Bridge, Rail, Aviation, Water/Wastewater, Solar, Power plant construction
•    Must have working knowledge of construction industry codes as applicable (ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.) as well as applicable certifications. Ability and willingness to perform QC Inspections is required
•    Self-starter with advanced organizational, managerial, communication and leadership skills.
