Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of constructing a project, managing a team of field and cost engineers. Do you have strong interpersonal and information management skills? In this role, you will be the main conduit of information between the construction manager and the team for cost, revenue, cash flow information. Supports engineering coordination, RFIs, submittals, documentation, and field issue resolution across civil, systems, and stations disciplines.
District Overview
Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. The serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada.
Location
This role will be based in Ottawa.
Responsibilities
· Manage RFIs, NCRs, design change documentation, and engineering approvals; maintain trackers.
· Coordinate between design consultants, field supervisors, quality, and commercial teams; support constructability.
· Track engineering progress and deliverables; ensure compliance with design criteria and requirements.
· Support preparation of method statements, work plans, and technical submissions; assist with as‑builts.
· Participate in testing, commissioning, and deficiency resolution; support schedule monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications
Engineering degree with a minuimum of 5 years construction/engineering experience.
· Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and standards; strong technical writing.
· Solid organizational skills and stakeholder coordination.

Base Compensation: $120,000/yr - $140,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
