Position Overview
Leads end‑to‑end commercial oversight of subcontractors, including variations, claims, payments, and risk across multiple station, civil, and systems packages.
District Overview
Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. The serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada.
Location
This role will be based in Ottawa
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for subcontract awards, changes, and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, notice provisions, and documentation standards.
- Support field teams on scope interpretation, commercial risk identification, and resolution pathways.
- Maintain exposure logs, forecasts, and dashboards; brief leadership on trends and risks.
- Lead resolution of commercial disputes with subcontractors and coordinate with legal/claims.
Qualifications
- Extensive subcontract management experience on large infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of pricing structures, payment terms, delay/disruption principles, and dispute mechanisms.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with common construction systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex/Unifier, P6, Bluebeam, Power BI) is considered an asset.
- This posting is specific to the OLRT Stage 2 program in Ottawa and may involve coordination with JV partners and client representatives.

Base Compensation: $120,000/yr - $145,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
