Position Overview

Kiewit seeks a highly motivated and experienced Structural Concrete Field Engineer to support our water and wastewater treatment projects. The successful candidate will oversee construction and quality control of structural concrete components, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

District Overview

Kiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water/wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants. Although we are headquartered in Dallas TX, with regional offices in Miami FL and Atlanta GA, we also pursue various projects stretching across the country. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the construction of structural concrete elements for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications related to structural concrete work.
  • Monitor and document project progress, including daily reports, photographs, and quality control records.
  • Ensure proper placement, curing, and finishing of concrete to meet project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the field, providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on-site.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to structural concrete and water/wastewater treatment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in structural concrete construction, preferably in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials used in structural concrete.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
