District Overview

Corporate Communication is searching for a talented candidate to join its team for a fall internship. The intern will serve as a valued member of the team, providing ongoing support for a variety of internal, external and creative communication projects and programs that are helping Kiewit deliver strong business results.



This position is based in Omaha, NE. 


  • Assisting with all aspects of video production, including shooting and editing
  • Supporting all aspects of video animation projects, including storyboarding, design and animation
  • Preparing files for web, social or video distribution
  • Brainstorming design and video concepts
  • Researching pricing for clients and collecting bids for projects 
  • Supporting marketing communication tasks including – but not limited to – developing and designing print, web and social marketing collateral 
  • Assisting with special projects as directed by leadership 


We are seeking a college junior, senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual arts, video production or a related field of study. The following are basic qualifications for the role:

  • Previous experience with video production
  • Two years of completed coursework with video production is strongly preferred
  • Experience with lighting and audio equipment is strongly preferred
  • Practical experience and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and After Effects 
  • Strong writing and client-relations skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to think creatively and collaborate on internal and external teams
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects 
  • Strong skills with peripheral technology, especially digital cameras and video equipment
  • Desire to learn and adapt to new communication and design principles, tools and technologies
  • High level of motivation, willingness to learn
  • Willingness to travel
